The Emergency Department at Praja Hospital comprises of dedicated 3 Resus beds for priority one cases (that are life threatening) and is well-equipped with the latest cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and crash cart with defibrillator and pacing capabilities.

The Praja Hospital Emergency department is fully built on cooperative clinical agreements between departments of medicine, surgery, orthopedics, anesthesia, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, cardiology, Pulmonology, neurology and intensive medicine. The aim is to provide fast and timely care to patients, thus avoiding damage due to the disease.

• The Emergency nursing team is well trained in caring for emergency patients
• A dedicated paediatric resuscitation bed ensures prompt management of any critically sick child.
• Apart from this, Praja Hospital in its emergency department has well equipped recovery beds that cater for the priority II and III patients.
• We also have minor and emergency surgical procedure capabilities like suturing, SPC, etc, which are done in the minor OT.
• A plaster room is present wherein emergency orthopedic procedures like splinting, application of slabs/ plasters is done.
• Critical and time dependant management is done for acute chest pain, acute stroke, polytrauma and sepsis.
• Emergency Ambulance Services are well geared to transport patients to the hospital at a quick pace for which Praja Hospital also incorporates dedicated cardiac ambulances with trained medical personnel bringing the services to your doorstep.
